The History of Comedy — Main Titles

This bright and upbeat main title sequence follows a single wire line, bent and stretched through space to reveal a series of whimsical portraits of comedy legends. The camera stays in near constant motion as it twists and rolls through these moments, the wire morphing into a chaotic frenzy before clearing for the main title reveal. In addition to the titles, the Herzog and Co. Design team created a full graphics package for use across the series.

For Season 2, the title sequence was rebuilt featuring a brand new lineup of comedians and characters, illustrated in the same distinctive style.
