Do you feel the need, the need for Top Gun: Maverick? For Paramount’s highly anticipated Top Gun sequel, it was clear that the extraordinary feat of capturing in-air action and actors in real U.S. fighter jets would need to be documented from pre-production through post in innovative ways. Herzog & Co. captured the extensive training process the actors went through, rigged jets with GoPros, joined the production on aircraft carriers, and interviewed key members of the cast and crew. In post, HCO not only showed the majesty of aviation, but honored the skilled real-life Naval aviators who risk their lives defending our country.
